An Emergency Evacuation At Stagecoach Cancelled Riley Green’s Set

Riley Green‘s set was cancelled after the epic California country music festival, Stagecoach, was postponed due to extreme weather.

He was scheduled to perform from from 7:50 PM-8:50 PM.

Around 8 PM local time, Stagecoach officially postponed the show by showing the following graphic on all their screens. “

“Emergency Evacuation. The festival has been postponed until further notice. Please move quickly and calmly to the nearest exit.”

Festival-goers also report that they received text messages at 8:01 PM saying, “We are in a Code Red emergency protocol. For your immediate safety, please take shelter at the white Forum Tent located directly North of the Safari Campground.”

At 8:53 PM, the festival released a statement saying they were working on re-opening the doors.

At 9:29 PM, they updated the set list times, revealing that Lainey Wilson would perform on the Mane Stage from 10:30 until midnight. They also updated set times for the other stages.

This meant that Riley Green’s entire set was scrapped, as well as Journey’s.

Lainey Wilson’s Show Went On…With Surprise Guests

Despite the delay, thousands of fans returned for Wilson’s headlining set, where she performed 19 songs including her hits “Can’t Sit Still,” “Watermelon Moonshine,” “Things A Man Oughta Know,” “Somewhere Over Laredo,” and “4x4xU,” just to name a few.

After singing solo for six songs, Wilson brought out a couple surprise guests… Riley Green and Little Big Town!!!

They performed Merle Haggard’s “I Think I’ll Just Stay Here And Drink.” Watch it below!

After Little Big Town left the stage, Lainey let Green have his Stagecoach moment since his set was cancelled. She explained to the crowd that she was just as excited to watch Riley perform as anyone else, so she thought he should do a song for everyone.

He performed his heart-tugging song “I Wish Grandpas Never Died.”
