Luke Bryan and Jon Pardi made sure to soak in every moment at Alan Jackson’s last concert.

On Saturday, June 27, legendary singer Alan Jackson took the stage for the final concert of his career.

More than 70,000 fans packed Nissan Stadium in Nashville to watch his farewell. There were also dozens of fellow artists who came out to pay tribute to Jackson throughout the night.

Just a few stars who performed in his honor at the sold-out show included Carrie Underwood, George Strait, Lainey Wilson, Luke Bryan, Jon Pardi, and many more.

There was even an unforgettable moment when an all-star lineup of country singers came together for a group performance of Jackson’s 1999 hit “Pop a Top.”

But the show’s finale was truly one for the books. Jackson closed out the night with a performance of his iconic song “Where I Come From.”

By the end, the entire arena was filled with cheers and applause as a “thank you” for everything he has contributed to country music throughout the last five decades.

It’s easy to say that Jackson’s farewell show was one of the biggest moments that country music fans have ever seen.

But it wasn’t just the people who bought tickets that were having the time of their lives. The stars who stepped out to perform knew it wasn’t just another day on the job, too.

That’s exactly why Luke Bryan and Jon Pardi chose to join the crowd after their performance.

The two decided to enjoy the rest of the show from the pit area. Bryan shared the moment to his Instagram. Text over the video read: “Just two country boys singing along to their idol.”

In the clip, they are seen admiring Jackson on stage, beers in hand as they sang along.

“Had to be in the pit. Zero other options. What a night,” Bryan wrote in the caption.

Why Did Alan Jackson Decide To Retire?

Alan Jackson’s retirement is very difficult to accept, but for many fans, it wasn’t completely unexpected.

In 2021, the 67-year-old was diagnosed with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, a degenerative nerve condition that affects movement and balance.

After years of pushing through the challenges and discomfort while performing on his Last Call tour, Jackson decided it was time to step away from live performing for good.

During his legendary career, he’s earned 35 No. 1 hits on the Hot Country Songs chart, two Grammy Awards, 16 CMA Awards, and 17 ACM Awards.

And that’s just scratching the surface. Jackson has also been a member of the Grand Ole Opry for more than 25 years and has been inducted into both the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame.
