Some of the biggest names in country music have gathered for a very special concert dedicated to Alan Jackson, and Lainey Wilson is one of them.

On Saturday, June 27, at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee, Alan Jackson’s final full length touring concert, Last Call: One More for the Road – The Finale, was held.

Jackson, who is 67, has been struggling with a genetic nerve disorder, called Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, which he says has affected his balance as well as his ability to perform.

“It’s not going to kill me,” Jackson told the Today Show in 2021. “It’s not deadly, but it’s related [to] muscular dystrophy and Parkinson’s disease.”

Back in 2022, as he was recognized with the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award at the 56th Annual CMA Awards, he proudly concluded his acceptance speech by declaring, “I’m still living ‘that honky tonk dream,’ y’all.”

Now, five years since opening up about his diagnosis, he’s doing his final concert.

Lainey Wilson Performs At Alan Jackson’s Final Concert

Lainey Wilson’s involvement in the Last Call: One More for the Road – The Finale concert for Alan Jackson comes after years of praising the country artist.

“Alan Jackson means so many things to me and to the rest of the world,” Lainey Wilson said on CMT in 2024. “He is a legend, he is a storyteller. He is true to himself and has stayed true to himself. He has paved the way.”

She added, “To even be recognized alongside Alan Jackson, it’s crazy … It don’t get much cooler than that.”

Those comments were then followed up by Lainey performing a cover of Jackson’s “Don’t Rock the Jukebox.”

In 2022, she participated in a medley of Alan Jackson hits, performing alongside Dierks Bentley and Jon Pardi, leading the way on “Chasin’ That Neon Rainbow.”

At the Last Call concert on June 27 honoring Alan Jackson, Lainey performed “Tall, Tall Trees.”

Originally released by George Jones in 1957, “Tall, Tall Trees” was covered by Alan Jackson in 1995 as a single coinciding with the release of his The Greatest Hits Collection.

Recently, Lainey released her song “Phone, Keys, Wallet,” in which she cites George Jones as one of her essentials for life, alongside Jesus and her momma.
