on May 28, 2026

Marshals Just Aired Its Season 1 Finale
The first season of the Yellowstone spin-off show, Marshals, just wrapped up its first season on CBS. The show is centered around Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes) and his life after selling his family’s ranch to the Broken Rock Reservation.
In the first episode, we learn that his wife, Monica, has passed away and he is searching for a new purpose in life. In walks a former Navy SEAL buddy, Pete “Cal” Calvin (Logan Marshall-Green), who is heading up a team of U.S. Marshals in the area.
Kayce gets deputized nearly on the spot and is thrust onto a team consisting of Andrea Cruz (Ash Santos), Belle Skinner (Arielle Kebbel), and Miles Kettle (Tatanka Means).

Less than two weeks into airing, the show was already renewed for a second season due to its high ratings. It had already surpassed CBS’ most-watched drama, Tracker, after just a couple episodes.
The Season One finale left viewers with an unexpected cliffhanger, and left several characters’ lives in danger. Thankfully, it was revealed by the actors that everyone will survive whatever situation they are in.
Even though Season One wrapped up, Season two is already underway, with Production beginning the same week the finale aired.
Green revealed that they are already “dogging, right out of the gate, about seven, eight pages a day,” and that the second season will “pick up right where we left off, literally and figuratively. No rest for the wicked.”

The Cast Revealed The Hardest Part of Filming The Show
During a press event, the cast of Marshals was asked about the hardest part of their job, and they all pretty much had the same answer.
Santos immediately said, “The physicality!”
Kebbel revealed a lot more insight into the preparation and other sutnts they have to do, saying:
“[We did] a lot of intense training, a lot of respect for authenticity. When we were on set and we weren’t filming, we would be training. We had people on set constantly that would pull us aside and be like, ‘You know we have a stunt in three days, let’s practice clearing a room. let’s practice footwork. Even the tiniest moves when you’re carrying the M4s, those details that the camera picks up, they wanted to make sure we were prepped and ready. And even just putting on the gear, it’s supposed to be second nature, but it’s a lot of gear!”
Grimes added, “I didn’t know that I had to get in shape for this role and I didn’t, and I will from now on.
As a whole, the cast feels that they handled the physicality of their roles well, and we’d have to agree!
