Morgan Wallen is teasing a brand new song, but was dropping a teaser at the same time he was supposed to be on stage at the ACM Awards planned?

In the lead-up to the show, there was speculation that Morgan Wallen would join Post Malone to perform their new song “I Had Some Help” at the ACM Awards. The track made history as the biggest streaming day on Spotify for a country song ever, however, to the surprise of many fans, Post Malone performed the song solo.

While it hasn’t been confirmed as to why Wallen didn’t show up, he teased a new song on social media at the same time he was expected to be on stage at the ACM Awards.
The clip, shared to his Instagram page, was a snippet of an unreleased song titled “Love Somebody.” The video shows Wallen driving a speedboat down a river, with the lyrics playing over the video.
“I feel like this one’s gonna sound good on the boat,” Wallen captioned the video.
Wallen was one of the most-nominated artists at this year’s ACM Awards, with six total nominations, including Entertainer of the Year, Male Artist of the Year, Artist-Songwriter of the Year, Album of the Year, Single of the Year, and Music Event of the Year. Despite his multiple nominations, Wallen didn’t win an ACM Award this year.
Wallen’s absence from the ACM Awards adds to the ongoing public scrutiny he’s faced since his arrest and felony charges in April. The incident, involving the alleged throwing of a chair from the roof of Eric Church’s downtown Nashville bar, has kept Wallen under the spotlight. While it’s unclear if this controversy contributed to his decision not to attend the awards, it certainly would make sense due to the challenges he’s been navigating in recent months.
While the timing of Wallen’s teaser video raised questions, it remains unclear whether it was intentionally planned to coincide with the ACM Awards.
