Morgan Wallen, Theo Von & Friends Team Up For Hilarious “Ryl Bad” Commercial

If you didn’t know already, Morgan Wallen launched his own iced tea product, “Ryl Sweet Tea by Morgan Wallen,” in May 2023.
As a collaboration with the functional tea brand Ryl Tea, Morgan Wallen helped develop the product over six months.
Ryl Sweet Tea is designed to taste like traditional Southern sweet tea while catering to more health-conscious consumers. It’s a zero-sugar, low-calorie drink made with black tea and enhanced with antioxidants. Additionally, the tea is sweetened with natural alternatives like Monk Fruit and Stevia Leaf Extract.

As an investor and ambassador for the brand, Morgan Wallen has been actively involved in promoting the tea.
Recently, the “Last Night” singer teamed up with comedian and podcast host Theo Von and Caleb Pressley, known for his work with Barstool Sports, for a hilarious new ad. Set in a mock boardroom, the ad starts with Wallen revealing that Von was supposed to have written a script for the “commercial.” However, in classic Von fashion, he said he had something better to do: go on a fishing trip.
“Yeah, I’ll admit I was supposed to write the script, pretty much. I was on vacation, dude. I was fishing and enjoying myself, not writing this bulls**t,” Von said.
The main joke is about how people can’t figure out how to say “Ryl” (it’s pronounced “real”). The three guys act out a fake business meeting to discuss the problem, and it’s pretty funny. During a few parts of the “commercial,” it cuts back to Ryl Tea CEO Blodin Ukella. He tells viewers the actual plan for the ad, which he said “seems to have pivoted throughout the day.”
In a hilarious and classic Theo Von moment, he ends the promo by saying:
“I’ll probably listen to ‘Sand In My Boots’ on the way home. I’m also a Parker McCollum fan. I’m not gonna say that, but people know it.”

While the ad is all about laughs, it’s worth mentioning that Wallen’s Ryl Tea really has been a huge hit. In fact, when it first came out, it sold out fast and has become a fan favorite.
