Morgan Wallen’s “Last Night” Becomes First Solo Country Song To Surpass 1 Billion Spotify Streams

“Last Night” Was The Biggest Song Of 2023
Morgan Wallen achieved something no other solo country artist has done before…he had a song that exceeded one billion streams on Spotify.
That song was “Last Night,” which Wallen released in January 2023 as his third single from his album One Thing at a Time. It debuted at #7 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart and claimed the chart’s #1 slot the following week.
After that, “Last Night” reached the #1 spot on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100 chart. It was Wallen’s first single to ever hit #1 on that chart.

“Last Night” spent 16 non-consecutive weeks at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. By the end of 2023, Billboard proclaimed that the track was the #1 song of the year in all genres. Wallen himself was also named the #1 Hot 100 artist of 2023. The song has since been certified 7x Platinum by the RIAA.
The official music video for “Last Night” also has over 146 million views on YouTube alone.
Morgan Wallen’s “Last Night” Exceeds One Billion Spotify Streams
Now, over a year after its release, “Last Night” and Wallen continue shattering records. Recently, Wallen’s hit song surpassed a total of one billion streams on the popular music streaming service Spotify.
This is a remarkable accomplishment, especially since Wallen is the only solo country singer to achieve such a feat.

Country duo and former Voice coaches Dan + Shay previously reached the milestone with their 2019 single “10,000 Hours,” which they recorded with Justin Bieber. Florida Georgia Line and Bebe Rexha also surpassed one billion streams with their 2017 collaboration “Meant to Be.”
As of Saturday afternoon (August 10), Wallen’s “Last Night” has over 1,001,8000 billion Spotify streams. Watch him perform the song live in the video below.
