Netflix’s “Little House On The Prairie” Gains 10 New Cast Members – Who Are They Playing?
on
Earlier this year (2026), Netflix debuted the first season of its Little House on the Prairie series. This show is not a reboot of the series that ran from 1974 to 1983. Rather, it is a new adaptation of Laura Ingalls Wilder’s beloved Little House books.
The first season of Netflix’s series introduced viewers to Laura, her family, and her world. Alice Halsey was cast as Laura, while Skywalker Hughes plays her older sister, Mary.
Charles “Pa” Ingalls is played by Luke Bracey, and Crosby Fitzgerald plays Caroline “Ma” Ingalls. All four performers will reprise their roles in the show’s second season.

Other actors we met in Season 1 include Warren Christie (John Edwards), Jocko Sims (Dr. George Tann), Meegwun Fairbrother (William Mitchell), Alyssa Wapanatâhk (White Sun), and Wren Zhawenim Gotts (Good Eagle).
On October 9, the Little House series announced that it had finished filming its second season. The show stated that the upcoming season serves as an adaptation of the fourth book in the Little House series, On the Banks of Plum Creek.
With that, they shared that 10 new stars have joined the cast and revealed the names of the characters they’ll be playing.

Prior to this announcement, it had been confirmed that Willa Dunn was cast as Nellie Oleson and Charlotte Sullivan as Margaret Oleson. Additionally, we already knew that Rachelle Lefevre had been cast as Eva Beadle.
Longtime Little House fans are surely interested in the casting of the Olesons. Nellie Oleson, who was portrayed by Alison Arngrim in the 1974-193 series, was one of the show’s most iconic characters and Laura’s greatest nemesis.
“All of our incredible cast additions this year have made this season in Walnut Grove absolutely magical,” said showrunner Rebecca Sonnenshine.
Sonnenshine continued to say, “I’m so grateful to our hard-working crew, who worked tirelessly to make this new chapter come to life, and our partners at CBS, Anonymous Content, and Netflix for being our unwavering champions.”

Season 2 of Netflix’s Little House on the Prairie series does not yet have a release date. But we’ll be sure to let you know as soon as we learn when it is.
