The TV icon stepped down from the main game show in June after his illustrious 41-year career. Pat Sajak and Vanna White have been co-hosts of Wheel of Fortune together since 1982.
Many thought they had seen the last of Sajak on their screens in connection to the show, but there’s good news for fans! Pat Sajak will return as host for something special.
Ahead of his final regular episode, Sajak shared an emotional message with fans, expressing his gratitude for their support over the decades.
“It’s been an incredible privilege to be invited into millions of homes night after night, year after year, decade after decade,” he said. “And I’ve always felt that privilege came with the responsibility to keep this daily half-hour a safe place for family fun.”

It seems that this is to ensure a smooth transition for the new host. Ryan Seacrest will be taking over hosting duties for the program’s next season. We are certain he will bring his own flair to the game show!

Seacrest recently shared a heartfelt message on his social media to honor Sajak’s legacy on the show, saying that he had “set the standards for hosts everywhere.”

Your partnership with Vanna has been nothing short of iconic, and together, you’ve created countless wonderful memories for viewers.”

Sajak has hosted the original game show spin-off since its debut in January 2021. Now, he is returning for the show’s fifth season. Contrary to speculation, Sajak’s return to Celebrity Wheel of Fortune is not a surprise comeback but a planned farewell.
Fans were confused at first, believing that the well-known host would be leaving the show for good. Sources close to the situation confirmed to TMZ that hosting the final season of the spin-off was always part of Sajak’s retirement plan. Sajak will film the new episodes later this summer, with the season airing this fall.
