While Visiting New Orleans For The Super Bowl, Post Malone Left A Generous Tip For A Server, But She Almost Didn’t Receive The Full Amount
Over the weekend, New Orleans hosted Super Bowl LIX, where the Kansas City Chiefs went head-to-head with the Philadelphia Eagles. Many celebrities showed up for the event, including country crossover artist Post Malone, who before kickoff, performed at the tailgate concert just outside of Caesars Superdome.
The night before the big game, Malone stopped by a local bar and music venue called The Howlin’ Wolf. While there, he made sure to show his appreciation to the staff.
Heather Foster, the server who waited on him, shared on Facebook that the “I Had Some Help” singer left her an incredible $2,000 tip. However, cashing it out wasn’t as simple as she expected.
In the same post, Foster explained that when she tried to withdraw the full amount, the payment company Square only allowed her to receive $200. This was reportedly due to security concerns over the transaction amount being too high.

Foster’s post, which had a photo of the receipt attached, quickly went viral. It gained so much attention that it eventually reached Cassie Schirm, an investigative reporter for a local news station.
After learning about Foster’s situation, Schirm took matters into her own hands by reaching out to Square directly to get answers and see if the problem could be resolved.
A @thehowlinwolfnola employee got a tip of $2000 from @PostMalone during Super Bowl week but the Square app is not allowing them to get the full tip only $200. I sent @square an email to see if they can get this resolved. We know just how important those tips are for our… pic.twitter.com/RNeFzQ5dQL

Later, she received an email from the payment company stating that they would investigate the issue.
After the community rallied to support Foster, it has now been reported that her tip is being processed and she will receive the full amount.
WSDU reporter Aubry Killion interviewed the server, and she confirmed the good news. Killion also asked Foster if she had anything to say to Post Malone for his $2,000 tip.
“Next beer is on me, man!” Foster said.
Post Malone Has A History Of Generously Tipping Servers
This isn’t the first time that Post Malone has changed the life of a food industry worker with a large tip. On Christmas Eve, Malone stopped by a restaurant in Houston, Texas, where he struck up a conversation with the bartender.
She shared that she was a single mother who had to work on the holiday instead of spending it with her nine-year-old daughter. Little did she know though, that her story would move Malone so much that he surprised her with a $20,000 tip.
