The Isaacs Perform With Reba McEntire At The Ryman

Gospel music trio, The Isaacs, left Reba McEntire in tears with a powerful performance of “It Is Well With My Soul.”

The three siblings joined Reba on stage during her debut headlining show at the iconic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee, in February 2017. Together, they wowed the audience with a medley of “In the Garden” and “Wonderful Peace,” which they had just recorded for the album Sing It Now: Songs of Faith & Hope.

Reba’s Emotional Reaction

After the medley, Reba stepped to the sidelines and gave center stage to The Isaacs. The faith-driven group delivered a stunning a cappella rendition of “It Is Well With My Soul” for the Ryman crowd.

The beloved hymn dates back nearly 150 years. It was first published in Gospel Hymns No. 2 by Ira Sankey and Phillip Bliss in 1876. The Isaacs recorded their version for their 2009 compilation The Isaacs Naturally: An Almost A Cappella Collection.

The audience rewarded the trio with a standing ovation, and Reba was visibly moved by the performance.

“Wow,” said Reba while wiping tears from her eyes. “Such talented people. You just can’t beat that family harmony!”

The Isaacs have been churning out music for over two decades, earning three Grammy Award nominations in the category of “Best Roots Gospel Album.” In 2021, the group was invited to become members of the Grand Ole Opry.
