Yellowstone star Cole Hauser who plays the character Rip Wheeler turned to social media to wish his old friend Ben Affleck a happy birthday. He ended up shocking his followers when he shared a throwback picture from a film many fans didn’t even know he was in.
Hauser posted an old black and white photo of him with Ben Affleck and Matt Damon all together on the set of the 1997 film Good Will Hunting. Hauser played the role of Billy McBride in the film which launched the careers of both Affleck and Damon when it won Best Original Screenplay at the Academy Awards in 1997.

Since Hauser has more of a spotlight in the show Yellowstone, fans are used to seeing him with dark hair. However, in real life and in his past films he’s actually a redhead! Hauser’s film debut was in School Ties, alongside future stars Brendan Fraser, Matt Damon, Chris O’Donnell, and Ben Affleck. Soon after, he appeared in Richard Linklater’s Dazed and Confused and of course – Good Will Hunting.

During an appearance on the Jenny McCarthy Show, Hauser explains that he had to darken his hair for Yellowstone because of his character’s love interest with Beth Dutton who is played by another redhead, Kelly Reilly. Hauser stated that the two of them looked too much like siblings which made dyeing his hair necessary.
