A 26-Year-Old Man Was Arrested After Making A Bomb Threat

Security at Morgan Wallen’s Nashville haunt This Bar called 911 early Wednesday morning (April 23) after seeing a note left on a receipt that indicated a bomb threat.

The note read, “I have a bomb!! Don’t be a hero SYBAU.”

According to several TikTok creators, “SYBAU” means “Shut Your B*tch A** Up.”

After finding the note, security cleared the bar but were not able to find anything “unusual.”

Police and security figured out the person who wrote the note was 26-year-old Reginald Smith, who had already gone to a different bar on Lower Broadway.

When they caught up with him, Smith, according to WKRN, said he “wrote the note as a joke and didn’t mean anything behind it.”

He was arrested by Metro Police and charged with a felony for false reporting of an emergency.

Metro police say they took several officers off patrol to investigate the matter.

Smith was booked at 12:30 AM on Thursday morning (April 24) and released at 4:52 PM the same day on a $15,000 bond.

Morgan Wallen’s This Bar Opened In June 2024

In June 2024, Morgan Wallen became the newest celebrity to open a bar in Downtown Nashville.

Nestled in Nashville’s lively Lower Broadway district, the six-story venue spans about 30,000 square feet and features six bars and three live music stages.

The menu—designed by Morgan Wallen in collaboration with Chef Tomasz Wosiak—offers a mix of tailgate classics, hearty entrees, signature cocktails, and even a few family recipes from Morgan’s mom, Lesli.
