Suspect Charged For Allegedly Burglarizing Home Of Late NASCAR Driver Greg Biffle
on

On Jan. 8, just three weeks after NASCAR driver Greg Biffle and his wife and children were killed in a plane crash, a burglary was reported at the Biffle estate.
The alleged intruder of the North Carolina residence reportedly got away with $30,000 in cash, as well as NASCAR memorabilia and more, and was then gone without a trace.
The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office issued warrants and affidavits in pursuit of a suspect, and even released security camera footage allegedly showing the perpetrator entering and exiting the Biffle home.

Suspect Charged For Allegedly Burglarizing Greg Biffle Estate
“After an extensive multi-state investigation, our detectives have identified and charged 44-year-old Terrell Williams of Stone Mountain, Georgia, in connection with this burglary,” Iredell County Sheriff Darren Campbell said at an Aug. 18 press conference.
Terrell Williams, who is accused of the burglary of the Biffle estate, was noted to have used several aliases and multiple addresses, including one in Charlotte, North Carolina.
This case led to over a dozen warrants being issued, with months of interviews and other investigative measures made.
Sheriff Campbell shared that the key breakthrough in the case came on July 29 when the Cobb County Police Department in Georgia contacted the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office regarding Terrell Williams.
“[Williams] had been arrested in connection in a separate residential burglary, which was a highly publicized homicide case,” Sheriff Campbell said.
The Cobb County Adult Detention Center has Williams listed as having been arrested on July 23 in connection to this alleged other burglary.
WSB-TV 2, out of Atlanta, Georgia, reports that Williams was arrested and charged for first-degree burglary after allegedly robbing the home of Kirk Wrzeisen, who is accused of murdering his wife at their Cobb County home on July 7.
From his arrest in Cobb County, detectives with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office were able to confirm that some items allegedly in Williams’ possession had been reported missing from the Biffle residence.
Telling the public what they have learned of how Williams allegedly conducts his burglaries, Sheriff Campbell said, “He used headlines, social media posts, different things to find out when people were not home, and he executed this plan in that capacity, which was the exact same thing that happened with this high-level homicide in Georgia.”
From the cash that was allegedly stolen from the Biffle home, a car was allegedly purchased — this vehicle is now in the possession of law enforcement as evidence.
Among the allegedly stolen items found in Williams’ possession, a Radio Frequency Detector was also located.
Explaining how this device works, Sheriff Campbell said it can detect hidden cameras and security features in a home, and it is believed that the device was used in the Jan. 8 robbery of Biffle’s home.
Williams faces 12 charges from the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office, including three counts of second-degree burglary, safe cracking, money laundering, two counts of obtaining property by false pretense, possession of burglary tools, three counts of larceny of firearms, and larceny after breaking and entering.
Presently, he is held on no bond in Cobb County, Georgia, and a transfer is being arranged to transport him to North Carolina.
According to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Facebook page, “The investigation is not over. Detectives continue to follow the evidence and work to identify anyone else who may have been involved.”
