The Trump And Vance Families Celebrate The Inauguration

On Monday, January 20th, a historic inauguration welcomed Donald J. Trump as the 47th President of the United States. Trump, who also served in office from 2017-2021, is only the second President in history to have served two non-consecutive terms.

Several events, including traditional ceremonies and celebratory balls, took place over two days to welcome the new administration.

Musical guests, including Carrie Underwood, Jason Aldean, Lee Greenwood, Kid Rock, and more, delivered memorable performances to mark the occasion.

Following the inauguration, Donald Trump, his wife, Melania, and their family attended the Commander-In-Chief ball. The new President and First Lady took the stage for a first dance, continuing a tradition that dates back more than 200 years.

Trump’s Family Members Join The President And Vice President For A Dance

Later that night, Trump, Vance, and their families attended the Liberty Ball, where they once again participated in a celebratory dance.

While the President and VP danced on stage with their wives, Trump’s extended family members joined them in the tradition. One by one, the emcee welcomed the following pairs to the stage:

  • Donald Trump Jr. and his daughter Kai
  • Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner
  • Eric Trump and his wife and Lara
  • Tiffany Trump and her husband Michael Boulos

The group danced to “Unchained Melody.” The song was first made famous by the Righteous Brothers in 1965 and was later recorded by Elvis Presley in 1977. “Unchained Melody” is one of the highest-grossing songs in the world, with approximately 1,500 recordings made by more than 670 artists in multiple languages.

The family members were dressed to the nines and beamed with pride as they swayed to the ballad.
