The Voice‘s Angie Rey Closed Out The Show’s March 30th Episode

The Voice has moved on to the Knockout Rounds, the round of competition where the singers perform solos head-to-head and their coach has to choose one singer to move forward. If a contestant is not chosen, they can be stolen by another coach. Coaches can only use one steal in this round of competition.

Coaches start with eight singers on their team. With the four winners of each Knockout plus the singer they’ve stolen, they will end up with five singers in the Playoff Round.

Monday’s (March 30) episode was the first of the Knockout stage, and the singers brought it!

The last performances of the night came from Team Kelsea’s Iris Herrera and Angie Rey.

Angie Performed Cody Johnson’s Song “Dirt Cheap”

Herrera performed Ray LaMontagne’s song “Jolene,” while Rey sang Cody Johnson’s “Dirt Cheap.”

Rey put her own flair on “Dirt Cheap” that left all the coaches visibly impressed.

This was her third consistent performance in a row. She first auditioned for The Voice with Kelsea Ballerini’s “Penthouse,” which inspired the “Cowboys Cry Too” singer to turn her chair for her.

While on Team Kelsea, Rey’s Battle Round was the Maren Morris song “GIRL” against Tatum Scott, which Rey ended up winning.

Unfortunately, Rey’s luck on Team Kelsea ended there. While her “Dirt Cheap” performance had high praise, Ballerini chose to keep Herrera on her team.

Even though she didn’t win the Knockout, she is staying in the competition, thanks to Michael Bublé using his steal on her!

Watch her performance of “Dirt Cheap” in the video below.
