Why You Recognize Juan Pablo Raba, The Actor Playing Joaquin on ‘Dutton Ranch’

The hit show Dutton Ranch continued Beth and Rip’s story, but it also introduced us to many different characters, including Joaquin, played by Juan Pablo Raba.
One of the most notable new additions to the series is Joaquin Reyes, the adopted son of 10 Petal matriarch Beulah Jackson. For much of the season, Joaquin appears destined to inherit the legendary ranch, but everything changes when Beulah makes a shocking last-minute decision, naming her biological son, Rob-Will (Jai Courtney), as the new president and CEO instead.
The drama escalates when Joaquin’s biological father, Mariano, arrives in Rio Paloma to deal with the fallout from Rob-Will’s appointment. As tensions within the family reach a boiling point, the full extent of the 10 Petal’s criminal activity begins to unravel, pulling Beth and Rip into the dangerous conflict.
With Joaquin at the center of many of the season’s biggest twists and emotional moments, viewers quickly took notice of the character. Week after week, fans found themselves asking the same question: Where have they seen the actor who plays Joaquin before?
Here’s Where You’ve Seen Juan Pablo Raba Before
Juan Pablo Raba’s career in entertainment began in 1998, where he had a role on a Colombian television series Marido y mujer.
After a couple other roles on Colombian TV, he starred in a Venezuelan show, which launched his career internationally and became known as a big telenovela actor.
After several years on shows and movies in Colombia and Venezuala, Raba got his big break in America when he landed the role of Gustavo Gaviria on the show Narcos. Gaviria is the cousin of Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar.
This role was extremely personal to Raba, revealing that his uncle was killed by Escabar.
Raba also took his talents to the Marvel universe, landing a role on the ABC show Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, playing the role of Inhuman Joey Gutierrez.
In 2017, he starred in the History Channel series SIX, which was about Navy SEAL Team Six as Senior Chief Special Warfare Operator (E-8) Ricky “Buddha” Ortiz. He acted alongside Barry Sloane, Kyle Schmid, Jaylen Moore, and Edwin Hodge.
Since then, he’s appeared on shows like Coyote, Echo 3, and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
His story on Dutton Ranch is nowhere near over, so this is definitely not that alst we’ve seen of Juan Pablo Raba.
