Willie Nelson Canceled Multiple Concerts Last Week Due To An Undisclosed Illness
A rep for Willie Nelson has shared an update on the singer’s health after he canceled multiple concerts last week.
On Friday (June 21), Nelson’s team shared a statement on his official social media pages announcing he could not perform for a few days. The statement read:
“We regret to inform you that Willie Nelson is not feeling well. And per doctor’s orders, has been advised to rest for the next four days. He is expected to make a quick recovery and join the Outlaw Music Festival tour next week.”
The statement came just hours before 91-year-old Nelson was expected to be onstage for the opening night of the Outlaw Music Festival Tour that evening (June 21) in Alpharetta, Georgia. His son, Lukas, stepped up to take his place.
“In the meantime, Lukas Nelson and the Family Band, along with a few guests, will perform a special set to include Willie’s classics and other songs,” the statement continued. “Bob Dylan, Robert Plant & Alison Krauss and Celisse will continue to perform as scheduled.”

“Willie will be fine,” the rep said. “I live in Los Angeles and will fly next week to see the performances on the east coast. I can’t wait.“
