All of these artists have made big waves in the industry this year.

This year’s Male Artist of the Year nominees include Luke Combs, Cody Johnson, Jelly Roll, Chris Stapleton, and Morgan Wallen.

Luke Combs

Luke Combs won the Male Artist of the Year award in 2020, making this potentially his second win in this category.

This year, he could also win ACM’s coveted Triple Crown Award. This honor is bestowed upon artists who, during their careers, have achieved three significant ACM awards: New Artist of the Year, Entertainer of the Year, and Male/Female Artist of the Year. He is nominated for Entertainer of the Year, and this is the only award he needs to win to complete the Triple Crown.

Luke Combs’ most recent release is a collaboration with the up-and-coming artist Bailey Zimmerman. The pair titled the song “Backup Plan” and shot a music video live. Watch below.

Cody Johnson

Cody Johnson received 7 ACM nominations for the 2025 year.

They include, Entertainer of the Year, Male Artist of the Year, Song of the Year (“Dirt Cheap”), Single of the Year (“Dirt Cheap”), Music Event of the Year (“I’m Gonna Love You” with Carrie Underwood) and two nominations in the Visual Media category for “Dirt Cheap” and “I’m Gonna Love You.” 

Cody Johnson has yet to win an ACM award, even though he has been nominated numerous times. This could be his year!

Seven months ago, the “Dirt Cheap” singer released a collaboration with Carrie Underwood. Their song “I’m Gonna Love You” is nominated for Music Event of the Year and Visual Media of the Year. However, the Visual Media of the Year award was given to Ella Langley and Riley Green ahead of the Awards.

Jelly Roll

Jelly Roll is nominated for 3 awards this year: Entertainer of the Year, Male Artist of the Year, and Album of the Year for his album “Beautifully Broken.”

Jelly Roll recently released a collaboration with Brandon Lake. Lake originally released the song as a single but re-released it as a collaboration. The faith forward song is titled “Hard Fought Hallelujah.” Watch below.

Chris Stapleton

In 2025, Chris Stapleton received nominations for 6 ACM awards.

Along with Male Artist of the Year, he has been nominated for Entertainer of the Year, Single of the Year for “White Horse,” Visual Media of the Year for “Think I’m in Love With You, ” Album of the Year (Higher), and Music Event of the Year “We Don’t Fight Anymore” with Carly Pearce.

His Visual Media of the Year nomination is for his music video for “Think I’m in Love With You. ” Although his music video lost out to “you look like you love me” by Ella Langley and Riley Green. The video is a uniquely cinematic and creative. Watch below.

Morgan Wallen

Morgan Wallen has won several awards, including the Male Artist of the Year in 2023 and Album of the Year in 2022. This year, he has been nominated for seven awards, tying him with Cody Johnson for the most nominations among male artists.

He has been nominated for 7 awards this year, tied for the male with the most nominations with Cody Johnson.
