An Airbnb patron got the surprise of a lifetime during their Houston stay in 2019.

The incident happened on a Saturday morning and because Animal Control was not open, a deputy had to come by to retrieve the snake.

The patron took a video of them approaching the toilet which clearly showed what they described to be a 4-foot-long snake. The deputy isn’t sure how the snake slithered into the toilet.

Airbnb sent the following statement to ABC13 Houston.

“With nearly two million guests checking in to Airbnb listings every night, negative incidents are incredibly rare. We’ve completely refunded the guest, provided an additional rebooking coupon towards their next stay, and apologize for this unusual experience.”
