In a reunion a long time in the making, American Pickers stars Frank Fritz and Mike Wolfe came together again on Memorial Day weekend.

The pair, who starred together in the History Channel hit together from 2010 to 2020, had reportedly feuding since Fritz’s exit from American Pickers. No reason was ever given for Fritz’s departure, thought the tv personality hinted that he had been let go and expressed confusion over why.

In recent years, Frank Fritz suffered numerous health issues, including Crohn’s Disease and a back surgery. In 2022 the then-55-year-old was hospitalized after suffering a stroke and fans urged the tv duo to reconcile and leave any disagreements they may have had in the past.

Finally, after not seeing each other for three years, Frank Fritz and Mike Wolfe reunited over the Memorial Day weekend.

According to a friend of Fritz, who wished to remain anonymous, Mike had been wanting to visit Frank for awhile. “Frank just now felt up to seeing him. It was Frank’s request to see Mike,” the friend told the Quad-City Times, saying that she and Fritz called Mike on Mother’s Day to arrange the Memorial Day meeting after Frank told her, “I need to talk to Mike.”

“This was not a feud between Mike and Frank at all. They were not feuding. They needed separation to appreciate each other,” she said, adding that the pair’s intense schedule for 11 seasons of American Pickers put a strain on their friendship. But, it was clear to those who witnessed their emotional reunion that their friendship is far from over.

The unnamed friend told the Times that both men were crying during the reunion as they reminisced about memorable moments they shared together.

“Mike brought up how nervous they both were to be going on David Letterman, which was one of their first big appearances. He said, ‘Nobody can replace you, Frank.’ He said it was Frank’s ‘uniquely funny personality’ that made them fit so well together as a team,” the friend recalled.

“They talked about old times — how things got started and the impact they had on the world,” she said. “There were tears flowing on both sides. Mike really stressed all the good times they had before the show and during the show. Mike did say he’d like Frank back on the show, but Frank is focused on his health.”

The Quad-City Times reports that Frank wishes to remain private about his current condition, but stated that he continues to receive in-patient care related to the stroke.

American Pickers debuted on the History Channel in 2010. The show follows the antique “pickers” as they travel the country in search of treasures. Wolfe and Fritz explored homes, barns, sheds, outbuildings, and anywhere else collectibles and under-appreciated antiques could be stored. The pickers then restore and resell the finds or keep them for their personal collections.
