Carrie Underwood Performs Rock Songs As Opener For Guns N’ Roses Concerts In Canada

Carrie Underwood may be a country singer…but she knows how to rock! She proved that when she recently opened for two Guns N’ Roses concerts in Canada in 2023.

This wasn’t Underwood’s first time collaborating with the famous rock band. In fact, she had lead singer Axl Rose join her onstage at Stagecoach in 2022. She also performed with him on her Denim & Rhinestones tour stop in Los Angeles.

Carrie Previously Worked With Joan Jett On Sunday Night Football

Underwood’s rock and roll history doesn’t end with Guns N’ Roses. She once collaborated with Joan Jett on the theme for Sunday Night Football.

The famous SNF theme “Waiting All Day for Sunday Night” is based off of the Joan Jett & The Blackhearts song “I Hate Myself for Loving You.” Underwood started performing the theme for SNF in 2013.

After trying out a few new songs, “Waiting All Day for Sunday Night” returned in 2019. Underwood and Jett performed the song together in honor of the NFL’s 100th season.

Carrie Underwood Honors Joan Jett With Performance At Guns N’ Roses Concert

When Underwood opened for Guns N’ Roses in Canada, she took the opportunity to honor some of her favorite rock artists and songs. She paid tribute to Jett by performing a powerhouse rendition of “Bad Reputation.”

Released in 1980, “Bad Reputation” is one of Jett’s signature songs.

Those who love seeing Underwood’s rock and roll side got another opportunity to see her open for Guns N’ Roses in Nashville on August 26. It was a rock and roll summer for her!
