It’s official! Morgan Wallen is opening a bar in downtown Nashville

After much speculation, it was confirmed today (Feb 15) that Morgan Wallen is putting his stamp on the historic Broadway district in Downtown Nashville, Tennessee. The brand new honky tonk will be called “This Bar and Tennessee Kitchen” paying homage to his 2019 hit song of the same name in which he croons:

“I found myself in this bar / Making mistakes and making new friends.”

Wallen has partnered with TC Restaurant Group, a developer and manager for entertainment and dining establishments, to make the project come to fruition. “This Bar” will have six floors including a rooftop, and will be a live music venue as well as a restaurant. Morgan Wallen shared in a press release:

“I sing about finding myself in ‘This Bar’ and now it’s coming to life. This venue will hold true to everything I love and is inspired by my fans and the way they have embraced me and my music.”

A video shared on both Morgan Wallen’s social media and newly established pages for the bar confirmed that the development of the venue is underway and is expected to open this summer.

Morgan Wallen’s “This Bar” will showcase his Tennessee roots

As an East Tennessee native, Morgan Wallen hopes to incorporate elements of his childhood and career so far into “This Bar.” Different levels of the venue are planned to showcase childhood photos and memorabilia, and the menu will even include some of Wallen’s mother’s own recipes. He said:

“We’re designing a menu around some of my family favorites, so it brings a piece of East Tennessee to Music City. I hope This Bar is a place you’ll want to find yourself in and make memories with your friends and family and celebrate the way country music has brought us all together.”
