Did HARDY And Morgan Wallen Just Take A Dig At The ACM Awards?
on May 21, 2026

If you watched the 61st ACM Awards on May 17, then you probably noticed that Morgan Wallen wasn’t there.
Had he been there, he would’ve left empty-handed.
Nominated in three categories, including Entertainer of the Year, the country artist who dominated the charts in 2025 with his 37-track triple album, I’m The Problem, and who put on an instantly iconic stadium tour, was one of the big snubs of the evening.
Of course, one could say that at least he was nominated…
Among those who weren’t nominated was HARDY, who notably co-wrote several songs on I’m The Problem.
Now, in a set of vague social media posts, both HARDY and Wallen seem to be calling out the ACM Awards.

Notably, HARDY and Morgan Wallen — who are both signed to the same record label, Big Loud — have both won awards from the Academy of Country Music in the past.
Back in 2022, HARDY won the ACM Award for Songwriter of the Year.
Similarly, Wallen has won two ACM Awards, including Album of the Year in 2022 for Dangerous: The Double Album; and Male Artist of the Year in 2023.
However, the lack of awards won by Wallen at the 61st ACM Awards may have been the catalyst for some subtle digs against the annual award ceremony.
Posting on social media on May 20, HARDY asked, “They got a category for this…?”
The first photo in the series of images and videos in the post shows HARDY giving two middle fingers.
Within the comments on Instagram, Morgan Wallen replied, “Who’s they”

Interestingly, another Big Loud artist replied within the comments: Stephen Wilson Jr.
Stephen did win two awards at the 61st ACM Awards, both for the category of Visual Media of the Year for his song “Cuckoo” (his second award was as director of the music video).
In the comments, Stephen wrote with a heart and muscle emoji, “Forever and ever, they men.”
This, of course, sounds like the lyrics to Randy Travis’ “Forever And Ever, Amen,” which was mentioned several times during the ACM Awards in honor of the late songwriter Don Schlitz.

It remains to be seen if Wallen will mention the ACM snub at one of his upcoming shows, with his Still The Problem Tour having its next stop in Denver, Colorado, on May 29 and May 30.
