Fan Favorite American Idol Contestant Baylee Littrell Performed “All Of Me” On Monday Night’s Episode

For the first time this season, the contestants on American Idol performed on live television, all while learning their fate on the show adding some extra pressure.

The Monday night (April 21) episode started with the Top 20, who were revealed during the three-hour Easter special Sunday night (April 20).

Baylee Littrell was one of the singers who made it to the Top 20. He has been a fan-favorite so far this season, singing a few original songs and even covering his dad, the Backstreet Boys’ Brian Littrell.

On Monday night, the Top 20 were each called to center stage and host Ryan Seacrest told them if they were advancing to the Top 14 or not. If they were safe, they would sing in celebration. But if they weren’t voted through by America, they would sing for their life.

The judges, Carrie Underwood, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan, will choose four singers to advance to the next round, with a total of six going home.

Baylee Littrell found out he was not safe before he had to perform John Legend’s “All of Me.”

Despite singing for his life, he still did a great job under that pressure and Underwood even said that tonight was the first time she felt like he was a “front man” and he “deserves to be on this stage.”

Baylee Kicked Off His American Idol Journey With An Original Song

22-year-old Baylee Littrell has been singing in front of crowds for years, having opened for the Backstreet Boys during their 2019 DNA World Tour. But we’re sure stepping into the American Idol audition room with just Carrie Underwood, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan is just as nerve-racking, if not more.

He auditioned with a song he wrote titled “Waiting On Myself To Die.” The judges immediately voted him through to Hollywood Week, where he sang yet another original.

It wasn’t until the Head-To-Head round of Hollywood Week where he sang a cover song, “Shallow,” from the movie A Star is Born.

He continued singing covers, like Pharrell’s “Happy” and more.

Did Baylee Littrell Advance To The Top 14?

In the end, his performance wasn’t enough for the judges to advance him to the next round. At just 22 years old, Baylee’s future is still so bright and we’re sure this isn’t the last we will hear of him!
