Jason Aldean Was One Of Many Country Singers Who Performed During President Trump’s Inauguration Events
President Donald Trump was sworn into office as the 47th President of the United States on Monday, January 20. The ceremony, which usually takes place on the Capitol steps, was moved indoors to the Capitol Rotunda due to the weather being below freezing.
Before he took his oath of office, Carrie Underwood made headlines during her performance of “America The Beautiful.” She experienced some technical difficulties with whatever music she was going to be singing along to, but instead performed in a cappella and asked those in attendance to sing along.
You can see the moment where she tells someone, “A cappella…I can just sing it.”
Other country stars were slated to perform at different events throughout the night, including Parker McCollum, Rascal Flatts, Kid Rock, Billy Ray Cyrus, Jason Aldean, and more.
Jason Aldean performed at one of the three official Inaugural Balls, the Liberty Ball.
Prior to his performance, Aldean posted a photo with his band on social media and wrote, “Such an honor to be playing for our president @realdonaldtrump tonight in DC. Excited for where we are headed as a country, the feeling here is electric. We can’t wait to rip it up tonight and have some fun.”
He Performed at 14-Song Set At The Liberty Ball
He performed several hits including “Fly Over States,” “Big Green Tractor,” “Hicktown,” Crazy Town,” and “Try That In A Small Town.” Aldean closed out his set with “She’s Country,” but stopped in the middle of the song.
As Aldean was performing his hit 2008 song, he noticed that an audience member was not doing well.
He stopped singing, pointed to the audience member, and said, “Hey, I think they need some help right there.”
Jason Aldean continued, “You guys, hey security or whoever, we have somebody down right here, I think!”
He confirmed with those around the person that they were, in fact, going through a “medical emergency.” Aldean stayed locked in on the audience member, saying, “We’ve got a medical emergency. There’s something going on right here, guys”
He kept his attention on them until security and medics got to them. He waited until he got a thumbs up from them before continuing to perform.
Fans praised him for his “patriotism” and “kindness” during this scary moment. It is not known what medical emergency the audience member went through.
