Jelly Roll and his wife Bunnie Xo undoubtedly turned heads at the 2023 CMA Awards, showing up in style.

Jelly Roll was nominated for the first time at this year’s CMAs and had an impressive five nods — second only to top nominee Lainey Wilson, who had nine nominations. The superstar was up for some of the night’s biggest awards, including Single of the Year and Video of the Year for his hit “Need a Favor.” The rapper-turned-country singer was also nominated for Male Vocalist of the Year and another award that he secured: New Artist of the Year. During the ceremony, Jelly Roll performed “Need a Favor” with Wynonna Judd and sang The Judds’ “Love Can Build a Bridge” alongside K. Michelle.

Prior to the show, Billboard spoke with Jelly Roll on the red carpet and asked him to describe his experience from last year’s CMA Awards to now.

“I’ll tell you what. One year ago, I didn’t even go into the show. I walked the carpet because I barely fit the criteria to walk to carpet. I left the carpet and went and watched it from the house. And one year later, I’m here as the most nominated male and I’m opening and closing the show, man.”

Jelly Roll and his wife unquestionably caught attention as they arrived at this year’s show in style.

One week before the distinguished occasion, Jelly Roll took to his X account (formerly known as Twitter) to tease fans with an exciting announcement that he and his wife would, once again, be arriving at the event with pizzazz

Jelly Roll may have been one of the CMA Award’s biggest nominees on Wednesday night (Nov. 8), but all his attention was on his wife, Bunnie XO.

“My wife wore a black dress with these chains things on it, so I was like — you know how we dress ourselves on red carpets now? I say, get the wife whatever she wants and then figure out how I can accent it,” the 38-year-old singer told Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet, before adding, “I’m like an accessory piece. I’m like an extra earring.”

The longtime couple tied the knot back in 2016. They made their red carpet debut at the 2022 CMA Awards. See a picture of the couple all dolled up at last year’s event.
