These people will include Super Bowl MVP Ray Lewis, NFL legend Mike Singletary, Full House actress Jodie Sweetin, NBA champion Metta World Peace, supermodel Paulina Porizkova, and tv personalities like Colton Underwood (The Bachelor) and Eboni K. Williams.

On the show, they will live for two weeks in brutal outdoor conditions and go through intense bodily and emotional challenges in a chance to win cash for their favorite charities.

Hosting the show will be sports activities announcer Mauro Ranallo and the show runs from 9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT, starting Wednesday, March 16 on the CBS Television Network. It’s also likely it will be accessible to stream and on-demand on Paramount+ as well.

“’Beyond the Edge’ is the most extreme celebrity format ever attempted,” said executive producer Greg Goldman in a statement with CMT. “The day before we started principal photography, all of the producers looked at each other with the sinking feeling that this celebrity cast might see where they were living for up to two weeks – the harsh jungles of Panama – and just bolt. To the contrary, we were amazed by how these icons pushed themselves to their breaking points, showing incredible mental fortitude and physical tenacity. And all for an incredible cause: to raise money for charities that are near and dear to their hearts.”

The group is expected to endure torrential downpours, scorching heat, and lethal wildlife within the intense competitions to fight for the cash. Each competitor has the chance to go for the entire two weeks or can ring a bell at any time to signal they want to quit.

The last two highest earners will ultimately face off in a single ultimate journey to compete for the title of BEYOND THE EDGE CHAMPION, as well as, win more cash for their chosen charity.

The charities that the contestants have chosen will be Alaina (The Next Door); Morgan (Operation Finally Home); Lewis (Johns Hopkins Children’s Center); Peace (The Artest University); Porizkova (ACLU Foundation); Singletary (Changing Our Perspective); Sweetin (Girls Inc.); Underwood (Colton Underwood Legacy Foundation); and Williams (Safe Horizons).
