Luke Grimes Names A Major Country Music Star He’d “Love” As A Villain On “Marshals”

Did you know that Marshals star Luke Grimes is also a country music artist? That’s right, Kayce Dutton can sing!
Because of this, Grimes has a deep appreciation for other members of the country music community. He also sees potential in one superstar singer, believing they could play the perfect villain on Marshals… if they’re willing.
During an interview with Women’s World ahead of the Season 2 premiere of Marshals on October 4, Grimes named a country star he’d “love” to have on the show, and his choice may surprise you.

Grimes told Women’s World:
“I always said I thought Chris Stapleton would play a really good bad guy. If he reads or hears this, we’d love for you to come on the show.”
Grimes’ choice was so unexpected because Stapleton doesn’t have a lot of acting experience. He has showcased his acting chops in a few of his music videos, including those for “Fire Away,” “Think I’m In Love With You,” and “White Horse.”
He also made a blink-and-you ‘ll-miss-it cameo in an episode of Game of Thrones in 2019.
But those performances were enough to convince Luke Grimes that Chris Stapleton would be the perfect addition to the Marshals cast. What do you think?
One Of Luke Grimes’ Famous Country-Singing Friends Has Already Appeared On Marshals
If Chris Stapleton does join the cast of Marshals, he won’t be the first country singer on the show.
Riley Green, who’s one of Luke Grimes’ good friends, had a recurring role as Kayce’s friend Garrett in the show’s first season. It marked Green’s acting debut, and he’s since expressed an interest in taking on other roles.
Marshals fans would surely love to see Green’s “you look like you love me” duet partner, Ella Langley, in a future episode. The possibility doesn’t seem too far-fetched, since Grimes appeared in the music video for her record-breaking hit, “Choosin’ Texas.”
Grimes played Langley’s boyfriend in the video, which also starred Miranda Lambert, Kaitlin Butts, Ava Phillippe, and J.B. Mauney.
Grimes spoke to Women’s World about his experience working with Langley on the video, telling the outlet:
“This [was] kind of right before the big pop off for her, right before she got strapped to the rocket and took off. And she was saying that she’d like to maybe act someday, and we were talking about that, and so I think maybe that’s why she reached out when it was time to do the video, and it was a no-brainer.”
