President Trump had Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric with his first wife, Ivana, whom he was married to from 1977-1990. His second marriage was to actress/model Marla Maples from 1993-1999 and they had a daughter, Tiffany. He met Slovenian model Melania Knauss and they were married in 2005. A year later, they had a son named Barron.
Despite his father being the 45th and 47th President of the United States, and being a famous businessman and TV personality before that, Barron has lived a private life.
Barron Was 10 Years Old The Last Time His Father Was Sworn In As President
It seems that every time Barron Trump makes an appearance, he makes headlines because of how much he has grown up right in front of our eyes. His growing up is a physical reminder of how many years have gone by since his father entered the political field.
Barron was a young 10-year-old boy when his father first took office in January 2017, and this time around, he was not only able to vote for his dad, he was able to help his father’s campaign.
During the Presidential Parade on Inauguration Day, President Trump introduced Barron, who received a standing ovation from the crowd, and credited him for helping him win the younger vote “by 36 points.”
Barron encouraged his father to be interviewed on arguably of the biggest podcast of all time, The Joe Rogan Experience, and it his appearance garnered over 54 million views on YouTube alone.
What Is Barron Trump Up To Now?
18-year-old Barron Trump started college in the fall of 2024 at New York University’s Stern School of Business in Lower Manhattan.
While he is attending a well-known and respected school, he’s not your average college student. He still lives in Trump Tower in Lower Manhattan, which his mother said was his own idea.
In an interview with Fox News in September 2024, Melania said, “It was his decision to come here that he wants to be in New York and study in New York and live in his home, and I respect that. I hope he will have a great experience because his life is very different than any other 18, 19-year-old child.”
In the same interview, she beamed with pride as she spoke of her son’s strength, intelligence, knowledge and kindness,” while adding that he’s turn into an “incredible young man.”
According to an NYU student who has one or more classes with Barron, he sits in the back of class – with his Secret Service – and is transported by SUV. The student says Barron “barely exists” on campus.
But, he does enjoy playing video games, specifically FIFA, and has been asking for fellow students’ Discord (a popular communication app for gamers) usernames to chat about video games.
Barron attended high school in Florida at Oxbridge Academy, and after he graduated in May 2024, he was selected to be and at-large delegate for Florida during the Republican National Convention. He turned down the opportunity, though, due to other commitments, his mother said at the time.
“While Barron is honored to have been chosen as a delegate by the Florida Republican Party, he regretfully declines to participate due to prior commitments,” Melania said in a statement.
Barron later joined his parents at a rally and on election night, where he made headlines for speaking to someone. Yes, you read that right. A video was taken of him saying hello to UFC president Dana White and he shocked everyone because no one had really heard his voice since he was a child.
While his father is running the country in Washington, D.C., Barron will be living as normal of a life as he can as a college student with Secret Service. Time will only tell what time of business he will get into, perhaps the new family business of politics. Many fans online are already encouraging him to run for president when he is able to.
