Morgan Wallen & Jelly Roll Team Up For Duet Of “Cowgirls” During Vegas Show
on Aug 11, 2024
During a two-day run in Las Vegas, Morgan Wallen surprised the audience with an unexpected duet alongside Jelly Roll.
On Thursday, August 8, Morgan Wallen performed in Las Vegas as part of a two-day stint for his One Night at a Time Tour.
As Wallen’s tour progresses, he’s built a reputation for surprising fans at nearly every show. Whether it’s high-profile guests joining him for his walk-out song, like Tom Brady and Mike Tyson recently did, or unexpected collaborations with fellow country stars, Wallen consistently keeps his audience on their toes. For instance, at a recent show, he surprised the crowd by bringing out Brooks & Dunn to perform their iconic ’90s hit “Neon Moon.”
Wallen kept the surprise factor alive at his recent Vegas show by bringing out Jelly Roll to perform a special cover of Wallen’s song “Cowgirls.”
The song, which became Wallen’s 14th No. 1 hit on country radio, was originally performed by him and country star Ernest. Ernest, who had been touring with Wallen for quite some time, announced last month that he would be taking a break from touring to focus on his family. Since then, Jelly Roll has stepped in as an opener for Wallen.
Videos from the night capture Wallen starting off the song, with Jelly Roll making a surprise entrance onto the stage. Jelly Roll takes over for the second verse, and Wallen joins him for the song’s chorus.
In other Morgan Wallen news, it has recently been revealed that his hit song “Last Night” has become the first solo country song to surpass 1 billion Spotify streams.
Thanks to Wallen’s song “Last Night,” which was released in 2023, he has achieved something no other solo country artist ever has. Recently, Wallen’s hit song surpassed a total of one billion streams on the popular music streaming service Spotify.
The only other artists to achieve this milestone in the country genre are the duo Dan + Shay with their 2019 single “10,000 Hours,” recorded with Justin Bieber, and Florida Georgia Line with Bebe Rexha for their 2017 collaboration “Meant to Be.”
