Hailing originally from Farmville, Virgina, Oliver Anthony, a former factory worker, is making a mark in the country music scene. The emerging singer gained attention with his viral hit, “Rich Men North of Richmond,” a politically charged anthem. His notable achievements this year include a debut at the Grand Ole Opry and a successful first-ever tour that will take him to locations all over the world.
Other Country Artists Announced to Perform
The anticipation grows with Blake Shelton headlining on February 27, followed by Carly Pearce performing on Armed Forces Appreciation Day. HARDY will take the stage on Saturday, March 1, leading to a four-day lineup from March 4-7, with performances by Hank Williams Jr., Jelly Roll, Luke Bryan, and, of course, Oliver Anthony.
These artists will contribute to RodeoHouston’s nearly century-long legacy, with a commitment of over $600 million towards education and youth-focused efforts in Texas, according to Billboard. The show draws more than 2 million attendees each year, solidifying itself as the largest rodeo event in the world.
