Luke Combs Brings Surprise Guest on Stage For Epic Shotgun Race
on May 03, 2023
What do you get when you mix a country music superstar and a starting quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers? A chug-off, of course!
That’s exactly what happened at Luke Combs’ concert at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh, where Kenny Pickett showed off his skills in both football and beer-drinking.
Now, you may be thinking, isn’t Luke Combs a Carolina Panthers fan? The answer is, YES, he is. Nevertheless, that didn’t stop him from showing love by putting on a Steelers hat and chugging a beer with the starting quarterback in front of his fans.

Pickett may have been a rookie last season, but he quickly made a name for himself as a strong contender for the starting job. He threw for over 2,400 passing yards, and fans are looking forward to seeing what he can do in the upcoming season.

Of course, while it’s great to see Pickett having fun at a concert, Steelers fans are hoping that his focus will be on the football field this season.
The team had a rough year in 2022, missing the playoffs after a 9-8 season. But with the recent draft picks, fans are feeling optimistic about the team’s chances this year.
The Steelers had seven picks in the draft, and experts have given them high marks for their selections.
Offensive tackle Broderick Jones, cornerback Joey Porter Jr., defensive tackle Keeanu Benton, tight end Darnell Washington, edge rusher Nick Herbig, cornerback Cory Trice Jr., and offensive tackle Spencer Anderson all joined the team in the draft.
Overall, the Steelers had a strong draft, with picks that should fill some of the team’s biggest needs. With Pickett at quarterback and a solid roster around him, fans are hoping for a great season ahead.
And who knows, maybe he’ll get another chance to show off his chugging skills at a future Luke Combs concert!
