As Randy Travis prepares for the November release of his next album, he has given fans a taste of what is to come with a new single from the record.

The “Forever and Ever, Amen” singer first shared news of a new album in August. Following the musician’s debilitating stroke in 2013, many believed his years of making music were over. He was left with severe left-brain damage, resulting in expressive aphasia, which impacts his motor skills, and requires long-term wheelchair use.

However, new technology helped bring old recordings to life for the album. Randy’s longtime producer, Kyle Lehning, remixed and remastered previously unheard originals pulled from the singer’s archive.

The project, titled Same Old Way, is set for a November 13th release.

The 12-track collection includes the already available tracks “Fish On” and “I Don’t Care.” According to a press release, the songs “span Randy’s distinguished recording career from 1986 to 2013.”

Randy Travis Releases “I Know Where I’d Be Without You”

Earlier this week, Randy shared a series of photos with his wife, Mary, teasing the upcoming release of a song inspired by someone who becomes “your whole world.”

“Some songs take on a whole new meaning with time…” wrote Randy two days before the release. On Friday, October 16th, “I Know Where I’d Be Without You” made its debut. The team behind the release wrote:

“For Randy, that person is Mary. This one’s dedicated to the woman who’s stood by his side through it all, and for anyone who’s been blessed with a love they can’t imagine life without.”

Randy and Mary have been married since March 21, 2015. The couple reportedly had known each other for nearly 30 years before the relationship turned romantic. For the last decade, Mary has been a steadfast figure by Randy’s side, often serving as his voice and filling in where his physical abilities are limited.
