Country music legend Randy Travis seems to be getting ready to share new music with his fans.

In a recent social media video shared by Randy Travis, he’s shown pressing play on what seems to be a fresh track. Although the clip doesn’t reveal any lyrics, fans are speculating that Travis is dropping hints about new music coming very soon. This marks the first sign of a potential album from the country icon, who hasn’t released one in nearly a decade, with his last being “Influence Vol. 2: The Man I Am” in 2014.
It’s no surprise that fans are absolutely thrilled about the possibility of new music from the singer. Even fellow country artists couldn’t help but share their excitement after seeing the surprise video.
Cody Johnson, known for his chart-topping hits songs like “The Painter,” left a comment on Travis’s video, stating, “I have chills.”
Meanwhile, fellow country singer Craig Campbell also chimed in with his enthusiasm, exclaiming, “This fires me up!”
Travis has had quite the journey to get to this point. Back in 2013, he suffered a severe stroke that greatly affected his ability to sing and speak.
Since then, he’s been working hard to recover, sharing some of his older recordings and making occasional public appearances. Even now, Travis still struggles with speaking, often needing his wife’s help during interviews. But despite these difficulties, the country star has been slowly but surely making a comeback.
At this year’s RodeoHouston, he joined Lainey Wilson on stage in front of a massive crowd of 75,000. And not long ago, he made an appearance at the Ryman Auditorium during Oliver Anthony’s debut performance at the venue.
It remains uncertain whether the music he’s teasing will consist entirely of new songs, but it’s safe to assume that whatever he releases, it’s been eagerly anticipated by fans for quite some time.
