Two Voice Singers From Team Reba Cover “Bring On The Rain” In Country-Themed Battle

Kendall Eugene and Alison Elena of Team Reba delivered an outstanding performance of “Bring On the Rain” during the Voice battles for Season 26.

Country singer Jo Dee Messina released “Bring On the Rain” in September 2001. The song features Tim McGraw on backing vocals.

Messina and McGraw took the track to the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. It also crossed over to claim the 36th position on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100.

“Bring On the Rain” was nominated for a Grammy for Best Country Collaboration with Vocals. But it lost to “I Am a Man of Constant Sorrow” from the O Brother, Where Art Thou? soundtrack.

With Reba as their coach, Kendall and Alison had the perfect person helping them refine their own performance of “Bring On the Rain.” All of their hard work finally came to fruition when they performed the song during the battles.

Who Did Reba Choose As The Winner Of The Battle?

You could tell the Voice coaches were absolutely mesmerized by the Team Reba singers’ rendition of “Bring On the Rain.” They made that extra clear when they offered their comments after the performance.

Snoop Dogg said he didn’t even want to try to name a winner of the battle. He loved it that much!

Gwen Stefani praised Kendall and Alison for working together as a perfect team, saying their battle “was just beautiful.”

Michael Bublé echoed all of those comments, though he said he’d personally lean toward Alison.

Then it came time for Reba to make her decision. It was not an easy choice for the country coach, who believed Kendall and Alison were a “great complement” to each other vocally.

But host Carson Daly called on Reba to choose the winning contestant. After some thought, she named Kendall the winner of the battle!

Reba shocked herself with her choice, saying later, “I didn’t know which one I was gonna pick, at all…

Kendall actually received Reba’s Coach Replay in the blind auditions. The Coach Replay was just added to The Voice this season. It allows each coach to press their button for a singer they didn’t initially press it for during their blind audition performance.

Needless to say, Kendall was in grateful disbelief that Reba had given him another chance. He’ll now continue to compete in the knockouts.

None of the other coaches stole Alison for their own teams. Her Voice journey ended after the battles. We wish her the best in the future!
