Three singers were sent packing Tuesday night (May 7) in an emotional triple elimination on The Voice.

Monday night (May 6), The Voice went live for the first time this season with the Top 12. Three contestants from each team sang their hearts out in hopes of earning America’s vote to advance to the next round.

Madison Curbelo and Karen Waldrup of Team Dan + Shay and Team Reba’s Josh Sanders and Asher HaVon delivered some of the night’s most talked-about performances. But was it enough to save them from elimination?

At the end of a one-hour live results show,  Zoe Levert, Nadege and L. Rogers saw their Voice dreams come to an end.

Zoe Levert (Team Legend) had one of the most memorable Blind Auditions of the season with her performance of Little Big Town’s “Better Man.” She earned a last-minute chair turn from John Legend but was treated to a special performance by Dan + Shay after revealing that she and her then-fiance were going to do their first dance to the duo’s “From The Ground Up.”

Levert delivered strong performances week after week as if wanting to prove that she deserved more than a one-chair turn. In the end, it wasn’t enough to keep her in the competition.

Nadege had John Legend and Chance the Rapper fighting over her after her Blind Audition. Both coaches went so far as to join her on stage to sing together in hopes of winning her over. Ultimately Nadege chose to join Team Chance and has been a force to be reckoned with throughout the competition. Unfortunately, America’s votes didn’t swing in her favor this week and she was sent home.

L. Rogers earned a last-second chair turn from Reba during her Blind Audition, earning the last spot on the country star’s team. Rogers brought an infectious energy to her performances week after week. Despite solid performances and stunning vocals, America didn’t vote to send her through to the Top 9.

After Tuesday’s eliminations, the Teams standings are as follows:

TEAM LEGEND
Bryan Oleson
Nathan Chester

TEAM DAN + SHAY
Tae Lewis
Madison Curbelo
Karen Waldrup

TEAM CHANCE
Maddi Jane
Serenity Arce

TEAM REBA
Asher HaVon
Josh Sanders

Tune in Monday night, May 13, to see the Top 9 battle it out for a place in the Top 5. On Tuesday, May 14, The Voice will reveal which 5 contestants will advance to the finale that is set to air May 20 and 21.
