Series Overview

The Gray House follows three unsung female heroes in a Civil War spy ring. The ensemble cast includes Mary-Louise Parker, Amethyst Davis, Daisy Head, and Ben Vereen. Based on true events, the show focuses on the secret operations of Union spies during the American Civil War, aiming to shed light on the often overlooked role of espionage in this pivotal period of U.S. history.

Notable Performances

The Gray House is set to make waves not just with its storyline but also with its impressive soundtrack.

In an exclusive reveal to Deadline, executive producer Leslie Greif has lifted the curtain on the impressive musical lineup for the eight-part series.

“My idea was, instead of having one [end] title song, I’m going to have eight different songs by Grammy-winning artists and in different genres of music, which are written for our show and are going to tell a story of that episode,” Greif shared.

The series’ soundtrack boasts an array of high-profile artists, including Willie Nelson, Lainey Wilson, and Shania Twain.

Willie Nelson – The legendary artist closes the series with the original song, “Heart of America,” serving as the end title for Episode 8.

Lainey Wilson – Fresh from her Triple Crown & Milestone Award win at the 2024 ACM Honors, Wilson performs “Dead End Road,” featured in Episode 5.

Shania Twain – The country-pop icon teams up with Drake Milligan for a duet titled “I’ll Be Here With You,” which acts as the end title for Episode 7.

Other standout contributions include:

“Blood In The River” (Title Theme)
Performed by: The War and Treaty

“Unholy Water” (End Title – Episode 1)
Performed by: Adrienne Warren

“Love Will Rescue Me” (End Title – Episode 2)
Performed by: Yolanda Adams

“If This Day” (End Title – Episode 3)
Performed by: The War and Treaty

“Red, White, & Blue” (End Title – Episode 4)

“The Devil’s Boat” (End Title – Episode 5)

“Spying Eyes” (Smiling Faces) (End Title – Episode 6)

“All of these people came in, based on the trailer, the theme of the show, and wanting to be a part of something that was important,” Greif said.

With an impressive lineup like that, we can’t wait to watch the new drama!
