As the footage of the battle begins, the moose is standing alone in the water. The wolf approaches the moose, and despite the moose’s best efforts to get away, manages to get a firm bite of its leg. Minutes go by as the moose tries to shake loose the wolf, but the incredible jaw strength of this wild canine is unshakable.

Eventually, the moose moves into deeper water, attempting to make it impossible for the wolf to stay latched onto its leg while still trying to breathe. Despite going fully under the water for extended periods of time, the wolf continues to stay clamped down on the backside of one of the front legs.

After the wolf’s jaws loosen, the fight isn’t over. The moose tries to move away, staying in the chilly lake water, but the wolf stays in hot pursuit.
