Among the prestigious awards, the Group of the Year stood out as a notable category. The nominees for this award exemplified the diversity and vibrancy of the country music landscape, each bringing a unique sound and style to the genre.

Old Dominion currently holds the title as the 2023 Group of the Year winner. They have been consistently recognized as the Group of the Year, securing the prestigious title every year since 2019. Prior to that, in 2018, they also clinched the award when it was known as the Vocal Group of the Year.

Lady A

Lady A, formerly known as Lady Antebellum, are known for their soulful harmonies and compelling storytelling. Their evolution as a group has been characterized by chart-topping hits and a dedicated fan base, solidifying their position as frontrunners in the race for the Group of the Year accolade. The last time Lady A won this award was in 2012 when it was still known as Vocal Group of the Year.

Little Big Town

Despite being nominated nine times for it, the group has never secured the Group of the Year category. Will this be their year?

And the 2024 ACM Group of the Year award goes to…Old Dominion!

Taking the stage to accept their award, Old Dominion’s Matthew Ramsey shared, “I think one thing that we have been trying to do over the past year or two is really make it a point to take all of this in…And we try during our shows to take a look at our fans who are the best in the world. We’re so proud of who our fans are and thank you.”

Old Dominion shows no signs of slowing down. The band is currently on tour with an exciting lineup of dates ahead, demonstrating their enduring appeal and energetic presence on the music scene.
