Amateur Photographer Snaps “Remarkable” Image Of Bald Eagle Flying Across Lake

One of the coolest images of an eagle ever caught on camera was captured recently by an amateur photographer, Steve Biro from Canada. Hanging out at the Canadian Raptor Conservancy in Ontario, Steve was hoping to snap some shots of the wildlife when they decided to release Bruce the bald eagle.

“I was so excited when they brought Bruce out as the water was fairly calm and I knew I might get a decent reflection,” Steve said according to Daily Mail. “I love getting reflections from a low vantage point and hoped to get a couple of decent pics of Bruce. He flew across the pond several times.”
The nature conservancy is known to be a great place for photographers to capture up close pictures of animals that you’d never get in the wild. Steve went on to explain how Bruce flew by his head a couple of times, so close that he could feel the wind from his wings as he passed.
Perfect photo captured
Steve was getting some good shots, but the third time Bruce took off across the pond, he started flying right towards Steve again. That’s when he captured the perfect picture: Bruce flying super low, wings touching the water and his eyes looking right at the camera.

“I have many wonderful images from the visit but I loved the symmetry of this one in particular and the way he is staring right through me and looking mean and powerful just blew me away.”
It’s definitely one of the best pictures of an eagle ever captured: with his eyes wide open staring right at the camera and his reflection perfectly mirroring him. Thankfully, Steve shared the picture online and everybody got to seem but what he didn’t expect is the photo to go viral like it did.
