Dolly Parton is not only a country legend, she is also a national treasure.

So, in honor of her 78th birthday, we put together a list of the Top 5 stories about her in the last year!

5 – Dolly Co-Hosts 2023 ACM Awards with Garth Brooks

In May 2023, Dolly Parton hosted the ACM Awards alongside Garth Brooks. The “Friends In Low Places” started the show solo talking about the “G.O.A.T.S.” of country music including Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Keith Whitley, Charley Pride, Randy Travis, and Merle Haggard.

That’s when things took a hilarious turn. Parton took the G.O.A.T thing literally, as she strolled out onstage while tugging a real-life goat behind her in a wagon.

Later in the show, Parton gave an impromptu performance of “Precious Memories” in honor of Naomi Judd and Loretta Lynn, following a touching story Parton told about her late friends.

4 – Reporter Corners Dolly Parton About Rumor That She’s Hiding Tattoos Under Long Sleeves

It’s been long rumored – and confirmed by Dolly Parton herself – that she has tattoos all over her arms. She has previously said her tattoos are tasteful to cover up some scars, but that she likes them to be private.

During an appearance on Person to Person with Norah O’Donnell, the host brought up Parton’s forearms. O’Donnell started the conversation by reading a statement to the singer in which the author states that nobody knows what her forearms look like.

O’Donnell continued to push Parton into revealing how many tattoos she has, where they were located, and more. But the singer shut her down. Go Dolly!
