Singer Bonnie Tyler In Medically Induced Coma
Bonnie Tyler, the legendary Welsh singer known for her hits including “Total Eclipse of the Heart,” is reportedly in serious but stable condition following emergency surgery in Portugal.
According to reports, the 73-year-old artist underwent intestinal surgery after suffering a sudden medical emergency while overseas. Following the procedure, doctors placed Tyler in a medically induced coma to aid her recovery and stabilize her condition.
Sources close to the singer say medical teams are monitoring her closely and remain optimistic about her progress.
“As of this morning Bonnie remains seriously ill but stable in hospital in Faro, however her doctors are still positive that she will make a full recovery,” a statement from her team read.
Reports also indicate Tyler experienced complications during recovery, though her representatives have urged the public to avoid speculation surrounding unconfirmed claims circulating online.
“When there is any further news of Bonnie’s condition then we will issue another statement but ask that the media cease to speculate or publish wild rumours, which simply serve to upset her family, friends, and many fans, and ask again for privacy and decency at this difficult time,” the statement continued.
