Brittany Aldean Addresses Feud With Maren Morris For The First Time, “I’m An Easy Target”
on Jul 23, 2024
Brittany Aldean, the wife of country music superstar Jason Aldean, recently opened up about her public feud with Maren Morris.
In an interview with the Try That In A Small Town podcast, a podcast hosted by the writers of Jason Aldean‘s song of the same name, Brittany addressed her online battle with “My Church” singer, Maren Morris. Brittany, an outspoken conservative, posted a comment on Instagram in 2022 thanking her parents for allowing her to be a tomboy without encouraging her to change her gender.
The statement didn’t sit right with Morris who has long been a vocal supporter of the other side of the political aisle. Morris responded to Aldean on X, saying, “It’s so easy to, like, not be a scumbag human? Sell your clip-ins and zip it, Insurrection Barbie.”

In her recent podcast interview, Brittany said that Nashville is a “small town” and shared that there is a lot of talk that goes on behind the scenes of the industry. Morris’s tweet apparently wasn’t the first time she had criticized Brittany, but it was the first comment that Brittany felt warranted a response.

She told the podcast hosts that she puzzled about why Morris and her friends decided to “have it out for [her].”
“She’s got a group of friends here in Nashville that, they just have it out for me for whatever reason,” Brittany said. “Which, to be so pro-woman and all the bulls*** – you’re not, because I’ve never said a word to you and you come for me. Why? Because I’m an easy target? Because I’m a wife, and I don’t have a stage as a platform, but I have social media? For some reason I offend them.”
Brittany shared that “It was World War III” after she commented about being thankful she was allowed to enjoy her tomboy phase.

Aldean added, “She started to make fun of my business, which at the time was hair extensions. But to me it’s, like, once again, going back to the feminist movement. Aren’t you supposed to be all peace, love and all inclusivity and all the things? Why are you coming for me like that about my business? I don’t need to work. I choose to work.”
