Country music star Darryl Worley is rallying support for his wife, Kimberly, who is facing surgery after a serious accident.

During the family’s yearly ATV ride, Kimberly broke her arm after the side-by-side that she was riding in with her brother, Keith, flipped. The couple, who tied the knot in 2007, faced this unexpected challenge while Worley was away on a multi-day trip to Canada.

Worley took to social media to share the news, asking for fans’ prayers for his wife.

“Kimberly has broken her arm really badly!! Please please please pray for her as we go to an orthopedic surgeon tomorrow and see what has to happen next!! Thank y’all! We love y’all!”

Shortly after, Worley shared another post with his followers, giving an update. He revealed that Kimberly was in pre op, and that she was a little nervous. Worley shared that the only thing his wife wanted was “as many believers praying for her as we can muster.”

Worley shared another update today (August 20), giving fans more details about Kimberly’s injuries.

One photo from the crash shows the overturned ATV at the bottom of an incline, and another shows the X-rays of her arm, indicating a clean break. Concerned about her injury, Worley said he contacted his friend Tony Barham for help finding a stem cell doctor in Nashville, Tennessee.

“I called him because my great God Almighty put it on my heart to call my friend Tony. The rest of this story is pretty amazing,” Worley wrote in his post.

Tony then connected him with Dr. Ethan Kellum, who specializes in stem cell procedures and works with the TN Titans. Worley said that Ethan was incredibly responsive, and they quickly got an appointment at Vanderbilt.

Then this morning, the “Have You Forgotten?” singer and his wife met Dr. William T. Obremskey, a top trauma surgeon, who came in specifically to help Kimberly.

“This morning we met Dr. William T. Obremskey. I prayed that God would help me turn this around fast and he must’ve heard my request. As it turns out Dr. Obremskey is not just any ole doctor. He’s one of Vanderbilts best trauma surgeons and he came in this morning especially for my wife. He set it all up and then they took her in 2 hours ago to fix her badly broken arm.”

Worley said they have been overwhelmed with gratitude for all the support they have received, and they are thankful for the amazing people who stepped up to help. Worley also shared he feels that God orchestrated everything.

“I’m so blown away by the people He used to do all this…He can always do immeasurably more than we can. What He can do within us is so powerful when we can figure out how to get out of our own way. This situation is just confirmation for me. I just wanted to share this because I thought it was powerful.”

We are keeping Kimberly and the entire Worley family in our thoughts and prayers. Wishing her a smooth and speedy recovery.

This accident is just one of many challenges the Worley family has faced this year. Earlier in January, a devastating fire consumed a barn on their property. Worley shared a video of the incident, showing the heartbreaking moment from inside their car, which was parked some distance from the fire. See the video below.
