“Duck Dynasty” Stars Announce Daughter’s Engagement

Jep and Jessica Robertson of Duck Dynasty fame recently celebrated Thanksgiving with their family. And they also celebrated their daughter Merritt’s engagement!

Jep is the youngest of Phil and Kay Robertson‘s four sons. His brothers are Alan, Willie, and Jase. He and Jessica share five children of their own: Lily, Merritt, Priscilla, River, and Gus.

The couple’s family got their own Duck Dynasty spin-off series called Jep & Jessica: Growing the Dynasty. The program ran from 2016-2017. It followed Jep and Jessica’s journey when they adopted their youngest child, Gus, and welcomed him into the family.

Meet Merritt Robertson’s New Fiancé, Tyler

Jep and Jessica’s kids have grown up fast since their days on TV. Their eldest daughter, Lily, got engaged in October 2022 and married in June of this year.

Now, Jep and Jessica have another wedding to plan, because Merritt is engaged! Jessica shared the happy news of Merritt’s engagement on Instagram, and posted some photos of Merritt and her now-fiancé, Tyler Metro.

Based on Merritt’s Instagram feed, she and Tyler have been together for several years, and are high school sweethearts. It appears they both attend Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas.

“Extra thankful this year!!!!” Jessica said. “Congratulations to Merritt and Tyler!!!!! We are so incredibly excited and love you two very much!! Time to plan another wedding!!!”

19-year-old Merritt also celebrated the engagement on her own Instagram page. She posted a series of photos that she simply captioned, “surprise!” Look below to see the pictures she shared.

Tyler has a private Instagram, but Jessica tagged him on her post.
