The 66th Grammy Awards are underway at Los Angeles’s Crypto.com Arena.

The prestigious event kicked off with a Premiere ceremony ahead of the live televised event on CBS. Most of the night’s winners were announced during the Premiere ceremony, including some awards in the realm of country music.

The 2024 Grammy Awards spotlighted excellence across four distinctive country categories: Best Country Solo Performance, Best Country Duo/Group Performance, Best Country Song, and Best Country Album.

Additionally, Jelly Roll and the War and Treaty achieved well-deserved recognition by securing nominations in the highly competitive all-genre Best New Artist category. This was particularly impressive, as the Best New Artist category has eluded country artists for over a decade, with Zac Brown Band being the last winner in 2010.

Unfortunately, neither Jelly Roll or the War and Treaty clinched the title of Best New Artist. The coveted award found its deserving recipient in Victoria Monét, a skilled R&B and pop singer/songwriter.
