In the exciting world of country music, collaborations often bring fresh interpretations to classic songs. Dolly Parton’s famous “9 to 5” has seen several covers since its release over four decades ago.

About “9 to 5”

“9 to 5” was originally released in November 1980 as the theme song for the comedy film of the same name, starring Dolly Parton, Jane Fonda, and Lily Tomlin. The song quickly became a cultural phenomenon, reaching No. 1 on three different Billboard charts and earning an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Song.

The song became an anthem for working individuals, particularly women in the workforce. Its timeless themes of struggle and ambition still remain relevant today.

“Workin’ nine to five, what a way to make a livin’ /
Barely gettin’ by, it’s all takin’ and no givin’ /
They just use your mind and they never give you credit /
It’s enough to drive you crazy if you let it.”
