Jelly Roll And Shaboozey Took Their Spiritual Duet To The ACM Awards

The 60th Annual ACM Awards took place on Thursday, May 8 at The Star in Frisco, Texas. Hosted by Reba McEntire, the show was a perfect blend of classic and modern country music.

Prior to the show, the ACM promised a “star-powered experience [that] will feature unprecedented performances, exclusive collaborations, and unexpected moments from the biggest country music stars of the past, present, and future, all while celebrating the genre’s most iconic and emerging talent.”

The ACM Awards began with a 12-minute tribute to past Song of the Year winners from Clint Black, Wynonna Judd, Reba McEntire, LeAnn Rimes, and Little Big Town.

Jelly Roll kicked off his performance with his song “Heart Of Stone,” which was included on his album Beautifully Broken.

Then, Jelly Roll transitioned into his song “Amen.”

“Amen” Was Released On April 25

Shaboozey dropped an expanded edition of his popular album Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going, which was first released on May 31, 2024.

The original album had 12 songs, including his 5x Platinum-selling song “A Bar Song (Tipsy).”

Shaboozey added six more songs to Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going: The Complete Edition.

One of those songs is titled “Amen” with Jelly Roll, which the pair performed at the latter’s headlining set at Stagecoach.

Shaboozey started the song on the stage with a choir behind him. Jelly Roll walked through the crowd a little bit, even giving his good friend Wynonna Judd a hug in the audience, before joining the “A Bar Song” singer on stage.

With Jelly Roll in all black and Shaboozey in all white, the unlikely duo were the perfect contrast to each other while their voices meshed perfectly.

Their ACM Awards performance of “Amen” got the entire audience on their feet!
