Jelly Roll stopped by the Ascension Saint Thomas Sports Park to surprise the Tennessee Titans during one of their recent team meetings.

As a lifelong fan, Jelly Roll has always supported the Titans, having grown up in Antioch, just outside Nashville, Tennessee. During his younger years, while he was part of the Juvenile Justice System, he watched Titans games on the jumbotron at Nissan Stadium, which was right across the street.

The team’s coach, Brian Callahan, planned the surprise to boost the players’ morale. And it sure seemed to work. As soon as Jelly Roll walked in, the team cheered loudly. Jelly admitted that he was a little nervous, saying:

“I’m like any other born and raised Titans fan. I’m nervous, right?”

Despite the nerves, he described it as one of the coolest experiences of his life.

In a video shared on the Titans’ social media, Jelly said, “Man, I’ve had so many highlights today as a Titans fan. This day has been so cool.”

Jelly said that he expected more of a serious atmosphere at the meeting but actually found it to be fun and relaxed.

“Hearing that team laugh through that door while coach (Callahan) was talking before I even walked in was such a good spirit,” he noted.

During his visit, Jelly Roll performed his popular song “Save Me,” and Titans defensive lineman T’Vondre Sweat even joined in. Jelly called it “the funniest sh** [he’s] ever seen.”

The day also included a special guest spot on the Official Titans Podcast with Mike Keith and Amie Wells, which Jelly said he “loved.” You can watch the full episode below.

Spending time with the Titans was a childhood dream come true for Jelly Roll. He assured the team that this wouldn’t be his last visit and expressed hope for a better season than the previous year’s 6-11 record.

“The more I get to hang around these guys, the more I think we’re finna to have one of the best seasons we’ve had in a decade coming up right here. If there was ever a time to tune in to being a Tennessee Titans fan – if you are on the fence or you were a fan and got disconnected, I’d tune in.”
